saturday evening was one of those perfect summer evenings….warm, but not hot….breezy, but not windy.  jeff and i spent it in the best way possible, with family, enjoying a bluegrass concert at our local arboretum.  some munchies sealed the deal (thanks sis!) and we were set for a wonderful night.  two local bluegrass groups played under the tree while the audience spread out across the meadow-like opening.  some sang along…children hoola-hooped and tossed frisbees and i couldn’t help but notice that every single toe was tapping!

sunday brought a little rain, so I holed up in one of my favorite spots….the kitchen.  zucchini bread was baked and just as the last loaf came from the oven a rainbow appeared over the top of our playhouse.  life in indeed good!

and yep…that’s a market day tunic.  whipped it up out of april rhodes fabric from art gallery fabrics and wore it to the concert.  have you made yours yet?
