Blog hop with Maris of Sew Maris

Welcome to the final installment of our blog hop!  We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing all the gorgeous creations some of our favorite bloggers have made.  I know I’ve come away with some renewed inspiration.  I’m feeling a black tunic length Summer Jazz coming on thanks to Morgan of Thread Theory (perhaps with sleeves??), and a tissue weight shirt lined according to Beth’s instructions, all the Market Day Tunics with contrast facings in the world thanks to Meg of Cookin’ and Craftin’ and Teri of Fa Sew La (I especially love that Meg made the body of her tunic patterned with solid facings and Teri made hers solid with printed facings – they both look so good!) and a cozy Weekend Ramler or three for fall like Claire’s of Hoopes Park Studios and Maris’s.  Now who is volunteering to babysit while I do all of this?  🙂

I came across Maris’s blog via Sew Mama Sew and was impressed immediately with her sewing skill.  I also love reading her reviews of patterns – she is very honest (no fluff reviews here), which I appreciate when I’m thinking of spending a decent chunk of change on a pattern.  Maris agreed to review our Weekend Rambler Skirt, which she made for her daughter.  Her version looks great.  I like the way the stripes highlight the shape of the pattern pieces, and I really love some good pattern matching, so her Weekend Rambler kind of makes my heart sing.

Head over to Sew Maris to hear what she has to say about the pattern!

That wraps up our blog hop for now!  We’re hard at work behind the scenes on our fall collection, so we’ll be sharing sneak peeks of that over the next weeks.  I’m not even going to guess when it will be released (everything always takes so much longer than we hope it will!), but not to worry – you’ll be the first to know when we have news.
