I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend. We did, including a successful Easter play at church last night that had kept us busy with practices and some line-learning over the past few weeks. Paul played a tough guy who accuses St. Peter of being one of the disciples in the scene where Peter denies Christmas three times before the rooster crows and I was Mary Magdalene at the empty tomb. It was a great production considering that we are all a bunch of amateurs, but it’s nice to have it behind us and to turn our attention firmly to spring.
Here are a few things that are making me happy this morning…
Morning coffee al fresco
Hanging laundry while these kiddos play outside
Budding raspberry canes on the first “landscaping” I did when I bought my house 5 years ago.
Chives coming up in the herb garden
A relocated trellis and bitty plot of newly-planted peas behind my returning oregano and thyme.
What is making you smile this morning?
